About
About our town
Who we are, how the town is governed, and how to reach the people who keep it running.
A place we are proud to call home
Our town grew up around the people who settled here — farmers, tradespeople, and shopkeepers who built the streets, halls, and parks we still use today. Generations later, it is still the kind of place where neighbours know each other and town staff answer the phone.
The town office looks after the everyday services residents count on: safe drinking water, garbage and recycling collection, road maintenance, recreation facilities, and the planning decisions that shape how the community grows.
How the town is governed
An elected council sets the town's direction — budgets, bylaws, and long-term plans — at public meetings residents are always welcome to attend. Day-to-day operations are carried out by town staff under the direction of the chief administrative officer.
Every agenda and set of minutes is published on this site, and every bylaw and budget is available in the document library.

Open government
Decisions made in the open
Council and its committees meet in public throughout the year. Agendas are posted in advance, minutes follow shortly after, and residents are welcome to attend in person or follow along online.
Decisions on budgets, bylaws, and long-term plans are made in the open, and every supporting document is filed in the town's searchable library.
