Town hall
Accessibility
We are committed to a website that everyone can use, and to meeting WCAG 2.2 Level AA.
Our commitment
The town is committed to making its website usable by everyone, including residents who use assistive technology. We aim to meet Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA, the recognized standard for accessible public-sector websites.
What we've done
This website was built with accessibility in mind. That includes clear heading structure, meaningful link text, sufficient colour contrast, keyboard navigation, descriptive alternative text for images, and a floating accessibility control (bottom of every page) that lets you enlarge text, turn on high contrast, and underline links. Preferences are remembered on your device.
What's covered
This statement applies to all pages on this website. Some documents published as attachments (for example, older PDFs) may not yet fully meet the standard. If you need one of those documents in an accessible format, please contact us and we will provide it.
Report a barrier
If you run into a page or document you can't use, we want to hear about it. Please tell us what you were trying to do and where you got stuck:
We aim to respond to accessibility requests within five business days.
Alternative formats
Information on this site is available in an alternative format on request, at no charge. Contact the town office by phone, email, or in person during office hours.
